• Bike/Walk Central Florida is holding a high-visibility sign-waving campaign at the crosswalk of Pine Tree Dr. & School Rd. to bring awareness to the driver yield rate at the intersection. Staff, volunteers, and partners will line the road with signs to capture the attention of drivers passing through. The event will take place from 8:30am - 10:00am at the crosswalk.

Bike/Walk Central Florida is holding a high-visibility sign-waving campaign at the crosswalk of SR-19 & W. Central Ave near the Howey-in-the-Hill's Town Hall to bring awareness to the driver yield rate at the intersection. Staff, volunteers, and partners will line the road with signs to capture the attention of drivers passing through. The event will take place from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at the crosswalk.

At our community Bike Rodeos, we believe every child deserves to feel confident and safe on two wheels. It's more than just a day of riding, it's where kids get professional fitted for free helmets and master essential skills like signaling, turning, and safe braking!

To make these events a success, we're looking for high-energy volunteers to join our team. Whether you're just a cycling pro or you just want to give back, we have a spot for you!

Volunteer Roles: 

• Bike Skills Instructors:
  • You'll guide kids through the skills course, teaching them the basics of starting, stopping, and staying upright.
  • No experience? No problem! We provide all the training you need to become a pro instructor.
• Certified Helmet Fitters
  • Help us ensure every child leaves with a perfectly fitted helmet.
  • Note: This role requires an active helmet fitter certification.

Your time and enthusiasm will ensure that every child in our community has a safe, fun, and memorable experience on their bike!
