🚲 Help Us Get the Next Generation Rollin!

At our community Bike Rodeos, we believe every child deserves to feel confident and safe on two wheels. It's more than just a day of riding, it's where kids get professionally fitted for free helmets and master essential skills like signaling, turning, and safe braking!

To  make these events a success,  we're looking for high-energy volunteers to join our team. Whether you're a cycling pro or you just want to give back, we have a spot for you!

Volunteer Roles:

• Rodeo Station Support
  • You'll be assigned to one of the bike rodeo stations, from checking in, biking skills activities, or other fun activities.
  • No experience is required! We provide all the training you need!
  • If you have any special skills (examples: bike mechanic, LCI, helmet fitter, videography, spanish speaker), please let us know
• Certified Helmet Fitters
  • Help us ensure every child leaves with a perfectly fitted helmet.
  • Note: This role requires an active helmet fitter certification.

Be prepared for a day outside and on your feet. Wear closed toed shoes!

Your time and enthusiasm will ensure that every child in our community has a safe, fun, and memorable experience on their bike!

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, April 11
• Location: West Orange Trail - Apopka Station
• Set up: 8:00am
• Event Duration: 10:00am-12:00pm

🏫 Return to Middle School for a Day to teach Safe Cycling!

Join Bike/Walk Central Florida at Luminary Middle School for an energetic day of giving students the confidence and tools they need to explore their community safely.

How You Can Make a Difference:

• Safety Educators (Instructional Assistants):
  • You’ll help demonstrate road safety and bike handling, turning "scary" traffic rules into easy-to-follow habits.
  • No experience? No problem! We'll give you all the training you'll need!
• Certified Helmet Fitters:
  • You’ll ensure every child has a properly fitted helmet.
  • Note: Active certification is required for this role.

Event Details

📅 When: Wednesday, April 1
🕘Time: 9:15 AM (Set-up) | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Event)
📍Location: Luminary Middle School

Commitment:

• You are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts.
• No heavy lifting required—just your enthusiasm!
• All teaching materials and tools will be provided on-site.

Event Impact

By giving just a few hours, you are directly reducing the risk of bicycle-related injuries and ensuring that every student walks (or rides!) away with the knowledge they need to safely commute in their community!
